Club Requirenments

STARTING A CLUB AT CSS

To start a club on campus a club must meet the following requirements:

  • Have leadership positions if a President, Vice President and Treasurer
  • Have at least 7 club members
  • Have a club advisor

Clubs at St. Scholastica must be open to any CSS fee-paying student who wants to join the club. Clubs must be bi-partisan and cannot be affiliated with outside organizations unless specifically approved by the Director of Student Activities and the Dean of Students. The club mission must align with the Benedictine Values and the Mission of the College. Clubs must meet regularly and invite students to participate in their club. All new clubs must have new missions. Meaning that no two clubs on campus, can serve the same purpose and population.

Once a group of students is ready to gain club status, they can complete the New Club Registration form on the SGA SaintsLife page. The group will have to present their club proposal to the SGA at a General Senate meeting. The senate will vote to pass or deny the club.

CLUB RESPONSIBILITIES

All clubs must attend all Student Activities and SGA leadership trainings, complete one 56 Nights event per year and complete one volunteer event as a club. Once the 56 Nights event and the Volunteer event have been completed, the club must complete the event reflection form found on the SGA SaintsLife page.

MAINTAINING ACTIVE CLUB STATUS

To maintain active club status the following must be met:

  • Maintain at least 7 student members
