Are limited funds keeping you from buying enough food? CSS has resources to help!

Is hunger getting in the way of your success as a student, because you're having trouble paying for food? We want you to know that Storm's Cupboard and Swipe Out Hunger are available for you to utilize! It's really difficult to pay attention in class, study, learn, remember information, and be successful as a student when you haven't eaten. Please take advantage of the resources that are available to you!

The purpose of Storm's Cupboard is to provide immediate food relief for students experiencing food insecurity. The Storm's Cupboard food pantry in Tower Hall consists of food items (non-perishable, frozen, and fresh) to sustain students for a short time. Storm’s Cupboard Grocery Gift cards provide emergency food assistance for students in Duluth and beyond. Storm's Cupboard resources are available to any CSS student who requests them.

  • Food Pantry: Available by Appointment

    Make a 15 minute appointment at your convenience so you can select the food you need. Let us know when you will be stopping by by making an appointment. If available appointments do not work for you, please contact Jessica at jellingson@css.edu or 218-723-6604 to arrange for an alternative appointment time.   • Grocery Gift Cards

    Storm's Cupboard is able to distribute online grocery egift cards to students in need. To request a Storm's Cupboard grocery gift card, students need to complete this form. Grocery gift card funds are to be used for groceries only (not including tobacco, lottery, alcohol or other non-grocery products). Grocery gift cards are available on a limited basis. Students who are in Duluth are encouraged to utilize Storm's Cupboard as well. The food pantry is available as often as students need it. See food pantry above for more information.

  • Swipe Out Hunger

    Swipe Out Hunger is available during the academic year only. In need of extra meal swipes or dining dollars to get you through the month? Want to donate your extra meal swipes?
