Welcome Weekend

Frequently Asked Questions

When is Welcome Weekend?

Welcome Weekend is Sept. 2-5, 2022, with move-in day on Friday, Sept. 2. This is your time to make new friends, move in and become familiar with your new St. Scholastica home, experience the Benedictine values in action, get involved and have tons of fun!

What should I expect?

Each student will be part of a Delta Group. These are small groups led by an upper-class student leader. Your first Delta Group will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, after you've moved into your home for the next nine months. Starting with that group, you will be involved in Welcome Weekend events throughout the whole weekend.

What should I wear?

Casual comfortable clothing and shoes.

Do I have to go?

Welcome Weekend is mandatory for all new first-year students. It is full of lots of fun programs, activities, and conversations that will help you connect well to this community and give you what you need to hit the ground running! You will have required events every day.

How do I find my class schedule?

Log in to my.css. Go to Banner Web in the top menu, then Student Services and Financial Aid, Registration, and then select either Student Schedule by Day and Time or Student Detail Schedule.

I'm a commuter student and don't have a meal plan, can I eat meals with my delta group?

Yes! Over welcome weekend all commuters are able to eat with their delta groups at no charge.

Who should I reach out to if I have other questions?

You can email saintslife@css.edu or you can reach out to your Delta leader. You can also always contact our Dean of Students, Megan Perry-Spears at mperryspears@css.edu

What do I need to bring to Welcome Weekend?

For most of the weekend you only need to bring yourself! On Sunday you will have your first Dignitas class, and you will want to bring your class materials: pen/pencil and a notebook or whatever materials you are planning to use for taking notes.

Where should I park?

You can email saintslife@css.edu or you can reach out to your Delta leader. You can also always contact our Dean of Students, Megan Perry-Spears at mperryspears@css.edu
