Mission
The CSS Actuarial Society is a student-run club at The College of St Scholastica dedicated to deepening its members’ understanding of the Actuarial Science, Insurance, and Risk Management profession and preparing them for successful careers. We aim to create a collaborative environment where students can connect with faculty and industry professionals, gain insights into the field, and access valuable resources to thrive academically and professionally at CSS and in their future endeavors. We look for students from diverse majors like Computer Science, CIS, Mathematics, Finance, Business, Accounting, and many more to help them discover different career paths in the insurance and risk management space.

Membership Benefits
Employer Presentations - Gain exclusive access to presentations from industry-leading employers who share insights on actuarial careers and current insurance trends. These events also provide valuable networking opportunities with professionals—and free pizza is included!

Social and Volunteering Events - Engage with peers through various social and volunteering events held throughout the academic year, fostering community and professional growth.

Mentorship Program - Our Mentorship Program connects students across different grade levels in small "families" to share experiences, provide guidance, and participate in group activities, helping members grow academically and professionally. We also pair up students who are preparing for their exams with others to gain the exam prep help they need.

Scholarship Opportunities - Members receive regular updates on scholarship, event, and internship opportunities specifically available to students pursuing careers in risk management and actuarial science, helping to ease the financial burden of professional development.
